Salary: Circa £24,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week
Contract: 12 month fixed term contract (an extension may be available subject to funding confirmation)

About the role
Working in Groundwork’s Land and Communities Team, and in close partnership with Northumberland County Council and Suez Recycling and Recovery, the post holder will engage with households and partners across Northumberland to reduce contamination in the recycling waste stream. Working closely with Northumberland County Council’s Refuse Collection teams and Waste Managers, the role will involve a programme of targeted door-stepping, resident and school engagement, bin checks, bin stickering, workshops, roadshows and associated activities, to reduce contamination and increase recycling practices.
A bit about you
We are looking for enthusiastic Project Officer who is passionate about working with local communities across the North of the Region. You will have experience of project delivery and developing effective relationships with communities as well as public and private sectors. Excellent organisational skills are a must with an ability to manage a busy and diverse workload.
