Our client, a local Mental Health & Wellbeing charity, is looking to recruit a Volunteer Coordinator to build on and develop their partnership with Living Well.
This organisation is working alongside Living Well Salford to develop and deliver a high quality peer support service alongside a collaboration of statutory services and other VCSE organisations as part of the Living Well Salford programme.
Position: Volunteer Coordinator
Salary: £24,000 (Actual £14,400, 0.6 FTE)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location(s): Salford
Contract: 12 Months Fixed Term (renewal dependent on funding)
As a Volunteer Coordinator you will be responsible for promoting the service, recruiting, training and developing volunteer peer support and experts by Lived Experience. You will also work alongside a group of Peer Support Workers to input into service design. Alongside this you will create new networks and pathways for people with lived experience of mental ill health to input into service design and delivery.
The skills and knowledge that are important to this employer are:
- Working collaboratively with staff and volunteers
- Experience of developing a business and/or projects
- Building/maintaining good relationships
- Good organisational and management skills
