Based: Hertfordshire Countywide (closest centre to applicant’s home)
Salary: £27,000 – £28,000 FTE per annum incl. Outer London Weighting (OLW)
We have a vacancy for a Full Time Team Leader – Domestic Abuse to co-ordinate and run the Domestic Abuse Service. This role is key to the development and supporting the team and the wider organisation.
The Domestic Abuse service Team Leader plays a significant role in the co-ordination and running of the Domestic Abuse Service.
About the Service
Hertfordshire Mind Network has had a Domestic Abuse Service in Three Rivers since 2017. The Domestic Abuse service Team Leader plays a significant role in the co-ordination and running of the Domestic Abuse Service.
About the Role:
This role is key to the development and supporting the team and the wider organisation. The Team has an expert approach to supporting victims of Domestic abuse. The team support people in a holistic way and will work 1-1 with individuals to help them find the steps to manage their own safety and well-being.
The aims of the service are
- To support the wellbeing of clients who are affected by domestic abuse.
- To improve risk management and safety for clients
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients
- To contribute to a reduction in repeat victimisation
- To reduce the number of victims withdrawals of witness statements
- To increase the reporting of children at risk of harm
- To increase early reporting of incidents
- To increase successful court outcomes by proactively supporting clients
- To work with the wider team within Hertfordshire Mind Network and support clients in accessing additional support e.g. counselling, peer support, Community Support Services and self-development courses
- To work with other professionals e.g. police, health, social care, housing, and signpost and liaise with such agencies as necessary
- To work with and signpost to other third sector partner agencies as necessary
- To work with and provide a service for people who may have multiple needs
- To act as a point of contact for those seeking advice and signposting, assisting them with appropriate services in their area.
- Work within the Community Partnerships Team to share information and work in partnership on cases.
- Follow up on cases to obtain detailed feedback and contribute to the development of the service.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide regular line management supervision to a team of Domestic Abuse Case Workers (DAC’s)
- To oversee the Domestic Abuse Volunteers
- To play an integral role in instilling HMN’s values through the Domestic Abuse team
- To play a key part in the development and delivery of the Domestic Abuse Service
- Ensure the delivery of quality services at all times.
