Team Leader

Do you want to make a difference to someone’s life and help build their dream home?

Team Leader

Salary: £23-25k per annum
Hours: Our client
currently operates a day shift but will be moving to an alternating 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm split shift in April 2019.

Our client has set up a factory to build modular housing from Cross Laminated Timber. Essentially this means a house is divided into modules with each module being built complete in terms of internals. A finished module looks like any room you are sitting in with all electrics, plumbing, painting, tiling and even carpets fitted. The finished modules are then transported to site where they are assembled together and the externals are finished.

They are currently looking to recruit Team Leaders to coordinate and supervise the Production Operatives. A strong emphasis will be placed on Right First Time (RFT) with a solid team commitment to deliver modules on time and of excellent quality.

You will ideally have a strong background in construction and/or manufacturing which could be from any industry, however experience within aerospace or automotive would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be able to apply themselves to varied situations with an organised approach in not just identifying, but solving problems and developing methods for improvements with a strong emphasis on lean working practices.

Responsibilities will include:-

  • Supervising and motivating staff to achieve daily output
  • Solving production queries
  • Ensuring the production line is adequately resourced
  • Managing staff in line with the Groups policies and procedures
  • Engaging personnel to be responsible and active during the working day
  • Awareness of Health & Safety to ensure we maintain company policies
  • Communication with the Production Manager & Engineering Team

Ideally you will have a minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role, and an understanding of CAD drawings. You will possess excellent people and communication skills, and be able to prioritise your workload accordingly.

Please Note: Our client currently operates a day shift but will be moving to an alternating split shift in April 2019, so please only apply if you are happy with these working hours.
