Our client is a hospice that serves the community of the New Forest, providing in-patient, day hospice and community care for patients with life limiting illnesses and support to their families/carers.

Salary: Up to £29,500 pro-rata (depending on skills and experience) plus enhancements of 30% and 60% for unsociable hours
Hours: Av. 30 hours per week
They have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join their team within the In Patient Unit.
You will need to be a qualified RGN ideally with some prior medical or surgical knowledge. Oncology and Palliative care experience is desirable, but not essential, as is experience of caring for families and patients facing the challenge of terminal illness.
Candidates with limited nursing experience are also encouraged to apply as, our client is able to provide excellent support and development opportunities for those wishing to develop specialist palliative and end of life care skills.
This role will require excellent communication skills to enable you to discuss difficult end of life issues and to confidently liaise with other healthcare professionals at all levels. A compassionate manner and a responsible, mature attitude are also essential.
The successful candidate will be required to work predominately day shifts but with the flexibility to cover night shifts on occasions. The contracted hours for this role are 30 per week but some flexibility to work slightly longer/shorter weeks will be required to fulfil the needs of the nursing rota.
