Can you bring your organisational skills to manage our Newcastle office and provide support to those based in North England, helping us to save nature and inspire people about wildlife? Can you champion new ways of working and lead others? If so, RSPB needs you!

What's the role about?

You will lead the day-to-day management of the Newcastle office, providing a safe, effective working environment, liaising internally with UKHQ teams and externally with our shared building management to ensure good communications and smooth running of our office space. Key contacts will include UKHQ teams such as Health and Safety, Facilities Management, Digital Technology, and Information Management.

As part of RSPBs England administration team, an integral part of your role will be to contribute to the continuous professional development of this wider administrative network, both locally and more widely across RSPB. You are expected to use your initiative to share best practice and build positive relationships with fellow administrators, to guarantee we are working in the most effective way possible.

You will be confident dealing with people from all backgrounds, using diplomacy and tact to ensure complex and sensitive matters are handled appropriately and professionally, representing RSPB in a positive manner.

You will be able to work effectively remotely and have a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and OneDrive, as well as a working knowledge of collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint. Your excellent communication skills will be used to build, maintain and develop productive relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally, across phone and video calls, email or face to face.
