Our client is a charitable organisation that sets the standards for practising scientists, through professional registration.
The organisation is looking for an experienced individual for 12 months maternity cover to lead on managing their registration and licensing standards and to produce a robust quality assurance system for professional scientists.
Registration and Licensing Manager
Salary: £43,000 per annum (pro rata for part time hours as job shares will be considered)
Reporting to: Chief Executive
Working Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week – flexible working options can be considered
Contract: 12 months fixed term contract (maternity cover) secondments / job shares will be considered
Location: Flexible between the organisation’s central London office and home working
The Registration and Licensing Manager will be responsible for the systems and processes that support licensing of professionals, to award the organisation’s registration to their members. You will also oversee the setting of standards for individual scientists and science technicians, which includes the requirements for application and renewal.
The ideal candidate will have experience of building and maintaining relationships with organisations and be able to spark their enthusiasm and commitment to the high standards you have set for them and for the organisation. With high attention to detail, you are also confident with developing and improving systems and processes to support day to day operations.
You will be personable and have experience of managing and leading a team as well as working with volunteers. As a self-motivated individual, you will need to have experience of leading on the delivery of projects from end to end with the ability to identify and develop innovative solutions.
Your responsibilities will include conducting licence reviews and overseeing the Registration Authority committee and its two subcommittees.
