We are searching for a recovery worker who will support individuals to gain and maintain mental wellbeing through social and structured wellbeing interventions.

This role offers the opportunity to join our Central Bedfordshire Mind Matters Team which covers Ampthill, Biggleswade, Dunstable & Leighton Buzzard.

Salary: £19,240.00 F.T.E (actual salary: £7,020 per annum)
Hours: 13.5 hours per week (Monday - Wednesday, 10:00 - 14:30)
Contract: 6 months (Maternity Cover)
Working base: Flitwick
Area covered: Central Beds: Biggleswade, Ampthill, Leighton Buzzard & Dunstable

The role will involve delivering and facilitating groups both face to face and via Zoom. The role will involve topic and session planning, discussions and helping to support service users to gain practical tools and techniques to enable their wellbeing journey and learning new coping strategies. Job Purpose
You will deliver wellbeing sessions which provide a safe environment for service users to talk openly and develop practical tools, techniques and coping strategies in order to manager their own wellbeing. You will also support service use led groups where we offer activities enabling service users to manage their mental health and move through their recovery journeys.

In addition to this, the role will involve assessing suitability for the service and signposting where necessary as well as performing 1-1 meetings with clients periodically in order to assess and create action plans.

The role will also include the opportunity to support events in the community to raise awareness of our services and build links with local organisations.

  • 25 days (pro rata) Annual Leave (Bank Holidays All (pro rata) as per April to March for each year - usually 8)
