Recovery Services Manager

Salary: £25,000 FTE (actual salary: £20,270 per annum)
Flitwick office base, covering set locations in Bedfordshire (Ampthill, Biggleswade, Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable, Bedford)
Hours: 30.0 hrs per week, Monday – Friday, 6 hrs per day (9.00am – 3.00pm)

This role is an opportunity to join and co-ordinate our Bedfordshire Recovery Service which offers recovery-focused and socially inclusive group sessions in Ampthill, Dunstable, Biggleswade and Leighton Buzzard (with future potential to include Bedford).

About our Recovery Service
Our Mind Matters groups offer the opportunity to discuss and explore issues around wellbeing and mental health in a safe, confidential, non-judgmental place.

About the Role
The post holder will be responsible for Mind Matters groups, implementing working recovery models and coordinating the daily operations of the service to ensure that service users are able to manage their mental health and move through their recovery journeys. Along with line management of our Recovery Workers, volunteers and students, the role will involve the assessment and processing of new referrals and leading and supporting on more complex cases that may require intervention for suitability.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with people with mental health needs and supporting recovery, and experience of line managing a small team or staff and volunteers.

Service Delivery

  • Operate a service and ensure outcomes which supports individuals with mental health and wellbeing needs across five localities in Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed recovery model requirements as well as contract requirements.
  • Process referrals and carry out assessments on individuals’ suitability for Mind BLMK’s service’s in line with the Access to Service procedure and requirements for various projects and services.
  • Oversee the delivery and facilitation of recovery groups, both face to face and online (including planning topics and sessions to support service users with their mental health and wellbeing and ensuring effective staff cover is in place).
  • Work with the Project Development Manager to ensure regular involvement of service users, volunteers and staff on local service delivery, organisational matters, and wider mental health strategies.
