Salary: £16,800 per annum (£28,000.00 FTE)
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Part time
Location: Somerset Wildlife Trust, Taunton, Somerset, TA1

This Charitable Trust is looking for an experienced planner and ecologist to join their dedicated team to implement their bold new vision; “To deliver a Somerset wide nature recovery network, creating more space for wildlife, benefitting everyone and playing its part in helping to reverse biodiversity loss and tackle the climate crisis”.

As Planning and Biodiversity Officer you will be joining a growing Nature Recovery team and be at the forefront of this work. You will be taking a lead role in the development and delivery of this charity’s approach to planning and development, ensuring that they make a positive impact by responding to priority applications and consultations, proactively working with communities, landowners and statutory bodies through engagement and training, to enable the delivery of resilient green infrastructure and nature recovery networks across the county.

Interviews will take place at the Head Office in Taunton or at the Avalon Marshes Centre in Shapwick (TBC).
