An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Penny Brohn UK Fundraising team. We are seeking a Philanthropy Manager who is able to build strong relationships with funders and donors to grow our philanthropic revenue. This role will include cultivating and soliciting support from Trusts and Major Donors, developing and deepening relationships with supporters and bringing them closer to the heart of Penny Brohn UK’s mission.

Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week.
Salary: Cira £37,500 per annum, depending on experience.
Location: Flexibility to work from home with occasional attendance at Penny Brohn UK National Centre on the outskirts on Bristol.

Through our team of cancer support experts (which includes doctors, nutritionists, counsellors, and exercise therapists), Penny Brohn UK helps people with cancer to feel more physically and emotionally able to manage the impacts of their diagnosis and treatment, be more in control of their choices and have the best quality of life possible. By making our services freely available, our aim is for all people with cancer to be able to access the high-quality support they need. To help make this a reality, we are seeking a Philanthropy Manager to grow support from Trusts and Major Donors at Penny Brohn UK. In this role, you will be responsible for the philanthropy strategy and will have the autonomy to build your own sustainable pipeline and set out your own strategic direction that will significantly increase philanthropic income.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be confident and highly organised with a proven track record of making the ask and securing high level gifts from Trusts and/or Major Donors. You will be a strategic thinker, natural communicator with the ability to influence others and build rapport with a wide audience. You will adopt a donor centric approach that makes existing funders/donors feel important, valued, and considered. You will be an innovator, striving to identify new opportunities and grow our pipeline of Trusts and Major Donors.
