Job Title: Nightlight Team Leader
Salary Grade: £25,000 - £27,500 per annum pro rata
Responsible to: Services Manager (Crisis Services)
No. of Hours: 37.5 hours per week over a 7 day period including a mixture of days, evenings, nights and bank holidays
Main Base/s: Watford (expectation of working throughout Hertfordshire)
Our client’s Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. They provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through their helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. They aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of the team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, the charity is able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.
Their services are needed now more than ever and in response they are expanding their team to ensure they can be there for people who need them. Recognising the importance of lived experience and value of peer support the organisation aim to be different and ensure their support is based on the principles of mutual understanding, respect and recognition that recovery looks different, but is possible for everyone.
The organisation has a variety of positions available across their services and whilst experience is advantageous, the most important thing to them and the people they support is having the right values, skills and commitment to delivering quality, person centred mental health crisis support.
Purpose of Post
The key purpose of this post is to be responsible for the provision and day to day management of the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Service (including helpline, crisis cafes and crisis house) alongside the senior management team and support of staff.
· To be a member of the leadership team the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Service.
· To play an integral role in instilling organisational values through the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Service.
· To play a key part in the development and delivery of quality crisis support services.
· To provide consistent and clear line management and leadership to a diverse team.
· To work with the Services Manager and Head of Service, Crisis, Complex Needs & CYP.
· To help generate new crisis support services in line with identified need.
· Ensure the delivery of quality services and be able to identify gaps in provision to inform future developments.
Being a car driver with sole ownership of a vehicle and a clean driving license and having willingness to travel to locations countywide is essential for this post.
