An opportunity has arisen within this Fire & Rescue Service's ICT team for an ICT Servicedesk Technician which will be based within their Headquarters in Sheffield.
ICT Servicedesk Technician
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £22,369 - £24,054 (Grade 4)
Hours: Full Time - 37 Hours per week Flexi time, with shift patterns
Work Pattern: The post involves working early and late shift patterns. Working from 08:00am for the early shift and up until 17:30 Hours for the late shift.
Location: Command Headquarters, Sheffield, S1 / Agile Working
The role will lead the activities of the Servicedesk and the delivery of appropriate levels of customer service and support. Take responsibility for implementation of any policies and strategies relating to ITIL Servicedesk Management and Incident Management across the whole of the ICT service. Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Servicedesk ensuring corporate security and compliance guidelines are achieved.
You will need GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent, knowledge of the ITL Framework, or significant equivalent experience.
New starters will commence on the bottom of the salary grade and will receive increases to the top of the grade on an incremental basis. They offer 27 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays. Annual leave increases after 5 years’ service to 31 days, followed by an extra day a year up to a maximum of 36 days. They also operate a generous flexi time attendance scheme.
