Job type: Full time 37.5 hrs a week (Possible job share)
Salary £17,500 pa pro rata where part-time

Our client’s social enterprise is responsible for the development and delivery of:

· Childcare: Providing a range of childcare activities that encourage children’s development and address their needs, connecting these where possible to their sustainability agenda. Their under-fives provision includes crèches, Forest School, stay-and-play sessions, holiday clubs and other events for school age children.

· Training: Providing diverse childcare and parenting training for trainees and other clients.

For this post you will need an enhanced DBS check.

This purpose of this post is to:

· Run day nurseries, crèches, parent and tots groups, forest school activities and school age holiday schemes

· Work with and train young people to develop the range of skills needed to work in Early Years setting and holiday clubs.

Key requirements:

· a childcare qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent

· a passion for working with children, parents and families

· ability to, and experience of running crèches for children and establishing strong partnerships with parents

· experience of working with school age children

· an enthusiasm for supporting children to engage with and learn from the natural world

· Experience of Forest School

· experience of working with, supporting and training young people to achieve, particularly those who have been disengaged or who are disadvantaged, and a belief in their value and their potential

· Knowledge and ability to implement of safeguarding procedures in an Early Years setting

· Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and requirements set out by Ofsted relevant to Early Years provision
