The Role
This is an exciting new role which will increase the management capacity and offer increased support in a very busy department.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for supporting and assisting the Housekeeping and Accommodation Services Manager in administrative duties and deputise for the Housekeeping and Accommodation Services Manager during period of absence.
  • Be fully aware of the Housekeepers and the House Porters daily workload and plan for sickness/absence/holidays and weekend working, in conjunction with the Housekeeping Supervisors.
  • Be the initial point of contact for all queries/requests/complaints from both internal and external people and for making the initial response to resolve the matter or passing the matter on as appropriate.
  • Prioritising daily workload to ensure deadlines are met and housekeeping email box is kept up to date- respond in an appropriate manner.
  • Manage and place authorised orders for all department purchasing requirements, liaise with the suppliers/contractors and monitor progress.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety requirements are followed, work with the Housekeeping and Accommodation Services Manager to update and implement risk assessments.
  • Carry out team members inductions and be responsible for all cleaning training needs within the department. To keep training updated and ensuring that records are maintained.
