Our client is looking for a Treasurer to join their passionate and dedicated Board of Trustees.
This charity has been caring for the city’s pets and wildlife since 1887, helping, healing and homing over 7,000 vulnerable animals each year. They are proud to hold such a long heritage in Bristol, as the oldest and largest animal charity in the city. They are an independent charity, and although they are proud to be affiliated with the RSPCA, they receive no automatic funding from them. They rely entirely on local support within the community to fund our vital work.
Board of Trustees: Treasurer
Background: Finance, Strategy and Governance, Fundraising, Legal, Risk.
Remuneration: The role of Treasurer is not accompanied by any financial remunerational though expenses for travel may be claimed.
Time commitment: 6 Board meetings per year plus 4 Finance Committees and supporting discussions
Tenure: Treasurer should expect to serve no more than 2 terms of 3 years.
Our client is currently looking to strengthen their Board of Trustees with up to three new Trustee appointments.
They are seeking volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds to join the charity as a Trustee to help make a difference to Bristol’s most vulnerable animals. One of those vacancies is specifically the Treasurer position.
As a Trustee, you will have the chance to influence strategy and directly support this organisation's teams of experts in the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals that come into the charity's care.
You will serve on the governing body of the charity and be instrumental, alongside your fellow Trustees in providing the governance that supports the CEO and senior management team in the successful running of the Branch.
