Our client, a Cambridge College, wishes to appoint an Accounts Officer to work in their College Bursary.

Accounts Officer - Receivables
Salary: £29,192 - £31,898 p.a. (dependent on experience)
Hours: 35 hours per week. Part-time hours could be negotiated for the right candidate. Hybrid working is also a possibility.
Contract type: Permanent, subject to six months’ probation

Initial responsibilities will be for donations processing, raising Sales Ledger invoices, running the regular interfaces from the tills and monitoring receipts therefrom. Writing up the cash books from the daily bank statements and preparing a weekly bank reconciliation are also part of the job.

This post represents a great opportunity to gain experience of work across a range of financial functions carried out in the Bursary, in addition to those listed above. The successful candidate can expect a varied portfolio of responsibilities, which will evolve over time and provide opportunities for career progression.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have very good numeracy skills and fluency in English. Competency in MS Excel and Word is important.
