WWT is looking for an exceptional administrator to join the Programme Office team within the Conservation Directorate. Could that person be you?

The Programme Office is made up of three WWT departments that develop, manage and deliver amazing wetland conservation projects within the UK and internationally. Our global team works closely with communities to create species-rich wetlands that provide benefits to both people and wildlife. To do this we work closely as a team to stay efficient and safe in delivering some incredible wetlands that influence people’s lives.

Role Outline

You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Programme Office by ensuring all arrangements that enable us to develop and deliver wetland projects are completed to a high standard. You are expected to support the Heads of Department and project teams within the Programme Office when necessary to ensure all administration requirements are fulfilled. This includes taking on duties such as organising travel in compliance with our policies and providing support at the Slimbridge Wetland Centre in the setting up of meetings and general administration needs.

You will be a key link to our Finance Department and will need to develop a positive working relationship with them and other WWT Departments to help facilitate both the needs of our project managers and requirements of funders. You will need to have the skills to work with others and develop a positive working relationship in order to work as a team.

About You

To join as our Senior Administrator you will bring:

  • Substantial admin experience within a busy environment including working with accounts and budgetary processes
  • The ability to use your own initiative to plan and prioritise work effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Brilliant communication skills so that you can work confidently and collaboratively with our wetland conservation team and people at all levels within WWT
